The George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center is a premier cultural institution that is the steward of the African American experience in Phoenix, AZ. The museum honors African American Heritage, Arts & Culture.

The George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center established by the Phoenix Monarchs Alumni Association of Arizona in 1986 is committed to moving forward with the vision of creating a community gathering place for cultural learning.

VISIT CARVER

The museum is open Every Friday & Saturday from 11am to 5pm for museum tours and hosting cultural & community events.

On Street Parking is readily available in front of the museum along Grant Street, and along 4th street. There is also parking in our lots on the northeast and west sides of the building.

Buses and other vehicles may load and unload groups in front of the main entrance on Grant Street; however, buses should be parked in the museum lot on the northeast of the building. There is no charge for parking in the museum lot.

The museum provides the most current educational and media rich resources related to the African American experience.

Gathering Place: The historical facility promotes a sense of community and local station for Discussion Forums, Educational Services, and a myriad of Community Events.
